Howdy! My name is Kelly Denowh Bada but I've been know by some crazy names while teaching here at Sunland. My firsties and kinders used to call me Miss Denowh, Miss Nose, and Mrs. No. Hahahaha! Nowadays my fourth graders and their families just call me Mrs. Bada. Sunland is the only school I've taught at, and this will be my 19th year! Where does the time go?

I've taught every grade here, except for preschool. So far, I'd have to say that 4th grade is my favorite. They try hard, play hard, and love a good joke! They put their heart and soul into writing, which makes it really fun to teach!

On a personal note, I love coffee, country music and chocolate. Watching hockey always makes me happy. (Let's go Ducks!) Finally, I have a deep love for corny dad jokes. Here's one to make you smile. What did the custodian shout when he jumped out of the closet? SUPPLIES! Hahahah! Get it?

Students of the Month

http://www.wholebrainteaching.comLast summer I attended a workshop in Palm Springs on Whole Brain Teaching. It's an interactive way to help engage students in the learning process and helps with classroom management. By engaging all areas of the brain and including physical activity, students are able to retain and recall information quickly and easily.
